Wren in the garden!
Sunday 17th January 2021
We are starting to ramp up for our three peaks walk! 17km today - over to Crowthorne and then round the woods there. Its a great walk and I hadnt realised how many woods were over in that direction. I took the binoculars of course - got to see the wildlife! We identified two dunnock on the way - the first time we have had a positive identification! I also saw another nuthatch and several long tailed tits - for the first time - they were so cute! We did it in 4 hours with two stops for coffee and tea breaks (not a picnic this is lock down!). The three peaks will be about 37km and more uphill - but not a bad start to our training!
In the afternoon I took the camera out in the garden - and this wren came to see me three times - amazing to see it in our garden. There was also a blue tit feeding on the fat balls at last! I am more hopeful of our RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch - only a few weeks to go - sign up if you havent done already! Big Garden Birdwatch | Join the fun - The RSPB
