Walking

As I said we are starting to ramp up the walking in preparation for our Camino walk in May. Today we walked over to Crowthorne, round Horseshoe Lake, through Finchampstead then back through the plantation. 25km in all, we had a few coffee breaks along the way and a non alcoholic beer in the Queens Oak. It took us 6 hours start to finish, we also had half laden backpacks on as well - so not too bad I think.

When I git back I looked up again the Camino way again - we will need to walk about 25km a day for 6 days a week (one rest day) in order to finish (and get there and back) in 6 weeks. More practice to be done!!

We also found this tree on the way - the bark had been absolutely destroyed by a squirrel - look at those teeth marks! It had stripped about 3 really big branches - amazing. I definitely do not want to met that squirrel!
