Life is short

Today there was a Great Spotted Woodpecker on the bird feeder - I was so happy! I didnt dare move to take a good photo so just got a blurry phone photo - I did submit it on iRecord as I was so proud! looked out for him all day but didnt see him again.

I knuckled down today to work on the report that I need to hand in next Thursday - I spent 2 hours in Magic map getting what I wanted - painful but I learnt a lot. I had to go for a walk just to get out and took some photos of the habitats in the report - I think I will add them in the appendix! The university looks great - but actually we didnt see many birds next to the building - not surprisingly we found most birds in the arboretum - our wildlife is not stupid!

Today I learnt that our neighbour in Wokingham died as a result of a bike accident - he was my age - we didnt know him that well but worked on our gardens together and talked when we saw each other.

Two points from that - 1. bikes and cars dont mix - be careful. 2. Life is short - enjoy it.
