It rained!

Today I spent the morning at university in a statistics lecture - makes my head hurt! Then after that over to Priory Farm in the Evenlode, one of the RAU lecturers was taking his students over to see the farm and its farmer - Matt. Matt is part of the farm cluster and so I have met him a few times. He did a great job with the students - really interesting talk and he gave a glimpse of the reality of farming to the students which they appreciated. The farm is next to the Evenlode - and today it rained really hard - amazing to see the water drainage issues on the farm - it was pouring off the fields and as Matt said - that brown colour is all his soil washing away! I was there to see what he as doing with the students and think about how we can engage the university more in the cluster - lots to think about!
