Farm cluster

This afternoon I went over to Priory Farm for the North East Cotswolds Farm cluster farm walk and Christmas drinks Events | The North East Cotswolds Farmer Cluster (cotswoldfarmers.org). It was a great opportunity - I met some of the farmers in the Evenlode catchment but just as important I understood what they were talking about. ELMS, government subsidies, hunger gap, carbon markets, cover crops, FIPL etc etc. Amazing!

The picture is of tillage radish which is used as part of a cover crop to improve soil texture. You can clearly see why from the photo.

The cluster has been set up quite recently but already has a lot of farmers involved - it is a great way to share knowledge and also pool costs.
