Evenlode

Thursday 2nd December 2021

Ros and I went out to look at the Evenlode today - the pictures are quite typical of what we found. As you can see - its not accessible - you really wouldn't want to take children here for educational visits! Access is going to be a major issue for this project. Then we went on to Charlbury for a couple of meetings - they were both really interesting. The first with one of the leaders from Wild Oxfordshire who owns the overall project - she is amazing and knows everyone! Then onto the council building for a meeting with some councillors and local people to talk about river community projects. They were also amazing - I have to say that Charlbury is a vibrant place - so many local people who really care about their local community and also do something about it! We learnt so much - my head is full - day four of the job and so much information!

Ros also showed me how to get a flint and steel to spark - ready for me to light fires for some work I need to do in a few weeks time. Now I can get a spark I need to turn it into a fire!!
