Eurostar nightmare

Before I start on our terrible last day I want to say what a great trip it has been. Byway have been amazing and I highly recommend them. As you can see we covered nearly 3000 miles by train and saw some wonderful sights and ate a lot of good food!
But!!!
What a day to finish our holiday! We were on the 1209 from Paris. The queues at the station are pretty bad so we join to discover after some time that the train is cancelled. What to do, no one from Eurostar is telling us anything!! I call Byway and they are really helpful, we should be out on another train we just need to find out how! So we join another queue for the ticket office together with the whole of the train, let’s not forget the train holds hundreds of people. Then 15 minutes after the cancellation I get a messsge from Eurostar, I can change online! Quick as a flash I am in but there are now no tickets for our class today, and only a few that I can upgrade to. £200 later we are on the 1509.
Our troubles have not stopped however. Later we come back and join the huge and very slow queue. We must have queued for over 2 hours, finally got to the waiting area where we have to sit in the floor for over an hour. Our train is 2 hours 45 minutes late. They make you queue so slowly because the waiting area can’t cope with the number of people, all the trains are late so the system is completely backed up.
We eventually get on the train and get back to the uk 6 hours after we had planned. A bad end to the trip. And we are exhausted. No photos today as nothing interesting to see!!
