Caravan
Friday 24th May 2024
We packed up the caravan and set off for Wells next the Sea and mum and Dorothy's caravan. It takes a bit of time to get there about 4 hours driving so we get there about lunchtime. The caravan is great, 2 double bedrooms, a really big lounge and a kitchen / dining area that has plenty of space. We got our stuff out and then walked along the sea wall back into Wells, its about a 25 minute walk along the water. The sun is out but there arent that many people around, we bought a boned stuffed chicken from the butcher for £9.50 (!) and went back to put the BBQ on. On the way we walked by the quayside and saw this restored lifeboat - it is the Lucy Lavers and looks almost exactly like the Mary Ann Hepworth! I was so excited because you can go out in trips on her, but we looked it up and they arent running this weekend (quite disappointed by that!). She does look beautiful! The sun stayed out and the BBQ was great - weather not looking so good for tomorrow so we will decide tomorrow morning what we do. sorw
