Canoing

Friday 13th August 2021

Today was the big canoe adventure. 22km from Ross on Wye to Symonds Yat. It was a perfect day for it - overcast but not raining. One slight issue - we had 3 people in a canoe. This makes it quite difficult to stay in a straight line. Mostly we were OK - we did the odd 360 degree turn but felt better when we saw lots of other people doing the same thing! We saw a few kingfishers and little egrets, also lots of swans and ducks. We also saw a fisherman land a huge fish - we were very impressed and gave him a cheer!

Back to the tent for another BBQ - 4th one in a row (must eat less meat next week!). The campsite is great and we have really enjoyed ourselves here - I would highly recommend it.
