Birds again!

I wanted to catch a picture of the charm of goldfinches that are now coming into the garden so I set up the trail camera again today. I got lots of pictures but no goldfinches yet. Lots of blue tits, a male and female house sparrow and a great tit on the feeder. Wren, pigeons and starlings in the background. I will try again tomorrow for the goldfinches. Every Sunday I put the bird data into the garden bird watch Garden BirdWatch | BTO - British Trust for Ornithology.

One of the most important things I have learned and I have said it before - without the data we cant be sure what we need to do for wildlife conservation. The more people that get involved with the citizen data science projects the better!

Today I applied for a work placement at Hengistbury Head for the summer - it would be amazing if I got that opportunity as it is exactly the sort of work that I want to do - fingers crossed!
