Beautiful blackthorn

I went over to the university this morning and the blackthorn is out! All that sun from last week has worked its magic at last. In fact the hedge was only half out so I am planning on going back on Friday to do an additional count as I think it will move quite quickly.

In the afternoon I worked on one of my assignments - an interpretation board. I chose the RSPB Farnham Heath Nature Reserve as I know it quite well from working there last year.

I had already done quite a lot of work on it - so after several more hours I decided that it wasnt going to get any better and submitted it!

I now have five more assignment to do in the next seven weeks. Its quite a task with work as well and I have been feeling really overwhelmed. In the end I pulled out of doing two school education sessions this week and although I feel bad that Ros and Rowan have to do them on their own - the reality is I am not an education officer and I am working over three days this week even with the cancellations.
