Beachy Head Lighthouse
Saturday 6th July 2024
No baby! In the morning I went to a new wool shop in Lewes called Ida's House for a short course on in the round knitting - we started knitting a cowl and I learnt so much. The reason for doing it is that Robin has bought me a knitting patter that is for a jumper knitted in the round (basically it has no seams!! It is quite complicated so I decided that I would have a private lesson to get me started on it - I will report back how that goes - in the mean time I have a cowl to finish! In the afternoon we went over to Eastbourne to take part in the Beach Head Lighthouse walk - this takes place once a year when the tide is low, the moon is int he right place, its a weekend and at a reasonable time!! About 1500 people took pat and it was lovely - it was not a hard walk but a scramble over wet and pointy rocks. We had a picnic when we got there and then headed back about 730 - some people were still walking don there which was a bit adventurous! Another shot of the bathroom so that you can see the lovely green panelling!!
