DNA

Tuesday 9th November 2021

Today we were in the lab extracting DNA from fish! We were all very excited - probably one of the most popular lectures we have had. I think it is because it is so mind blowing that we cant believe we are doing it. After much use of pipettes and centrifuges we had our DNA. It will be stored and we will examine it next week and see if we can work out what sort of fish it is - we all have different ones! Looking forward to it. The rest of the day was working on assignments - I now have three that I want to complete before I start the job - so busy few weeks! (I also dyed my hair again this afternoon - same colour as before because I really liked it - it was definitely easier the second time, not so much mess).
